# Cross-Device Dev Sync

## 1. What it does
Links two development machines over a secure private network and generates a read-only report comparing git repositories, unpushed branches, uncommitted changes, and active work sessions between both machines. Useful after travel or switching work computers.

## 2. When to use it
- Working from two different computers on the same projects
- Returning from travel and needing to reconcile local changes
- Setting up secure remote access between two of your own machines

## 3. Steps
1. Create a dedicated private network key for the connection
2. Install the connection with password-protected access
3. Configure SSH access between both machines
4. Compare git repositories across the two machines
5. Generate a report of unpushed branches and uncommitted changes
6. Present the read-only report before syncing anything manually

## 4. Safety rules
Always work in draft mode: nothing is sent, published, or paid for without explicit client approval. Never invent data, metrics, or results. No passwords, tokens, or API keys are requested or shown in chat.

## 5. Deliverable
A clear, reviewable draft of the output (text, code, report, or file), ready for the user to approve before it becomes final.
