Screen Recording Editor via MCP

Edit a screen recording directly inside the source tool via its MCP server: audio cleanup, cutting silences/mistakes, layouts and subtitles.

What it does

Guides editing a screen recording without downloading it or using ffmpeg: audio cleanup first, then cutting filler, silences, pauses, and mistakes, then applying saved layouts, then subtitles, then a frame-level verification pass. Works against whichever recording tool's MCP server you already have connected.

When to use it

Steps

  1. Confirm the recording tool's MCP server is connected and authenticated by you.
  2. Apply audio cleanup (leveling, noise reduction) to the raw recording.
  3. Cut filler, long silences, pauses, and obvious mistakes.
  4. Apply a previously saved layout for the visual composition.
  5. Generate and review the auto-generated subtitles.
  6. Verify cut points frame by frame before marking the edit as done.

# Screen Recording Editor via MCP

## What it does
Lets you edit a screen recording in the same place it was recorded, using that tool's MCP server: no file download, no manual ffmpeg, and no re-upload of the result.

## When to use it
Use it after recording a demo, tutorial, or lesson when you want a clean video in minutes, for example showing a workflow inside GoHighLevel to a client.

## Prerequisite
1. You register and authenticate the recording tool's MCP server; this skill does not manage OAuth for you.

## Editing order
2. Audio cleanup (leveling and noise reduction) first.
3. Cutting filler, silences, pauses, and obvious mistakes.
4. Applying a saved layout for visual composition.
5. Generating and reviewing subtitles.

## Final check
6. Review every cut point frame by frame before considering the edit finished.

## GoHighLevel angle
7. For GHL onboarding videos, always include a clean cut at start and end showing the relevant CRM screen, with no real customer data visible.

## Safety rules
1. Every deliverable (script, email, post, ad, design) is produced as a draft first.
2. Nothing is sent, published, or paid for without explicit human approval.
3. Never invent metrics, testimonials, customer names, or data not present in the provided sources.
4. No credential, API key, or token is ever written or pasted into chat; reference environment variables instead.
