When to use it

Steps

  1. Choose the research mode: competitors, scraping, analysis, trends, or quick.
  2. The assistant gathers the relevant content for that mode.
  3. It identifies outlier or trending posts.
  4. Each idea gets scored according to the research mode.
  5. A prioritized list of ideas with reasoning is delivered.
  6. You decide which ideas to produce; the report doesn't publish or schedule anything.

# Short-Form Content Research

## 1. What it does

- Offers five research modes to find short-form video ideas: manage a competitor list, scrape their content, analyze which posts are outliers, discover trending topics, and run a fast topic-specific research pass, each with its own scoring system.

## 2. When to use it

- When you're out of content ideas and need data-backed inspiration.
- When you want to know what your competitors are doing that actually works.
- When you need to validate a topic before investing time producing it.

## 3. Step by step

- Choose the research mode: competitors, scraping, analysis, trends, or quick.
- The assistant gathers the relevant content for that mode.
- It identifies outlier or trending posts.
- Each idea gets scored according to the research mode.
- A prioritized list of ideas with reasoning is delivered.
- You decide which ideas to produce; the report doesn't publish or schedule anything.

## 4. Safety rules

- Safety rules: everything ships as a draft first; nothing is sent, published, or paid for without your explicit approval; no data, numbers, or results are ever invented; no credentials or secrets are typed into chat.

## 5. Best practices

- Always review the full draft before approving any send, publish, or payment.
- If real information (data, numbers, results) is missing, ask for it to be flagged as pending instead of invented.
- Keep credentials and keys out of chat; set them in environment variables or your secrets manager.

## 6. GoHighLevel integration

- Where relevant, results can be saved as contacts, tags, tasks, or notes inside your GoHighLevel sub-account.
- No automation inside GHL (workflow, campaign, trigger) activates without your review first.
