Listmonk Campaign Sending

What it does

Turns a brief or contact list into a ready-to-send Listmonk campaign or transactional email: brand-token HTML templates, list segmentation, and API-based sending. Useful for newsletters, announcements, or transactional sequences without a commercial ESP.

When to use it

• You need to send a newsletter or announcement to a subscriber list from your own Listmonk instance.
• You need to send a one-off transactional email to a specific contact.
• A GoHighLevel workflow needs to trigger a branded email through Listmonk instead of GHL's native engine.

Steps

1. Confirm the goal: single transactional vs campaign to a list.
2. Gather the brief: sender, subject, body, CTA, brand tokens.
3. Pick or adapt an existing Listmonk HTML template with those tokens.
4. Generate the full draft (subject, preheader, HTML) and present for review.
5. Wait for explicit approval before creating or scheduling via the API.
6. Create the campaign/transactional as draft or scheduled; never auto-send without final confirmation.
7. Report status (draft, scheduled, sent) with the Listmonk link.

# Listmonk Campaign Sending

## 1. Purpose
Turn a brief, contact, or subscriber list into a ready-to-send Listmonk campaign or transactional email, keeping brand voice and HTML templates consistent.

## 2. Inputs needed
Sender identity, target list or contact, brand tokens (logo, colors, links), and the core message or CTA.

## 3. Template selection
Reuse an existing Listmonk HTML template when it fits; otherwise draft a lightweight template with header, body, and unsubscribe footer.

## 4. Draft first
Always produce the full subject, preheader, and rendered HTML as a draft before touching the Listmonk API.

## 5. Approval gate
Do not create, schedule, or send anything until the user explicitly approves content and recipient list.

## 6. Execution
After approval, create the campaign/transactional via API in draft or scheduled state; confirm recipient count before any final send trigger.

## 7. GoHighLevel angle
When a GHL workflow needs a branded bulk email GHL can't trigger natively, generate the Listmonk payload here and report the campaign ID back for GHL to reference.
