Research pipeline that identifies relevant competitors, pulls their active ads from the Meta Ad Library, classifies them by format, hook, and offer, and produces a brief covering ICP, offers, hooks, angles, and formats to ground campaign strategy.
When to use it
- Before launching a new Meta Ads campaign and you need to know what's working in your niche.
- When you want fresh creative angles because current performance has plateaued.
- When an agency client asks for market evidence before approving budget.
Steps
- Define niche, geography, and an initial competitor list with the user.
- Search the Meta Ad Library for each competitor's active ads.
- Classify each ad by format, hook, offer, and call to action.
- Detect repeated patterns across competitors (winning angles, offer structures).
- Draft the 8-section brief: ICP, offers, hooks, angles, formats, findings, risks, recommendations.
- Present the brief as a draft for review before using it in creative or copy production.
- If using your own scraping API keys, keep them in environment variables, never in chat.

--- name: meta-ad-research description: Build a competitor database, scrape and classify their live Meta ads, and synthesize an 8-section intelligence brief. --- # Meta Ad Research ## 1. Purpose Produce an evidence-based intelligence brief on what competitors are actually running in Meta Ad Library, to seed campaign strategy instead of guessing. ## 2. Competitor list Start from the user's niche and known competitors; expand with adjacent brands serving the same audience. ## 3. Scraping Pull currently active ads per competitor from the Meta Ad Library (BYO API keys); never store or expose keys in chat. ## 4. Classification Tag each ad by format, hook, offer type, and CTA so patterns become visible across the dataset. ## 5. Pattern synthesis Identify repeated angles, offer structures, and creative formats that show staying power. ## 6. Brief structure Write the 8-section brief: ICP, offers, hooks, angles, formats, key findings, risks, recommendations. ## 7. Review gate Present the brief as a draft; never treat it as final strategy until the user reviews and approves it. ## 8. GoHighLevel angle Feed the resulting ICP and offer language into GHL funnels, forms, and follow-up sequences so paid and CRM messaging stay aligned.
