Weekly Social Media Report

Weekly accountability report: posting volume, engagement, and growth per platform, with week-over-week comparison.

What it does

Generates a recurring report compiling how many posts went out, the engagement earned, and follower growth per platform, comparing the current week against the previous one and showing recent-week trends. Includes recommendations based strictly on the real data collected, never on assumptions.

When to use it

Steps

  1. Define the platforms and accounts to include in the report.
  2. Collect posting volume, engagement, and follower counts for the current week.
  3. Compare against the previous week and the 4-week average.
  4. Identify the best- and worst-performing post of the week.
  5. Write 2-3 recommendations based only on the collected data.
  6. Deliver the report in a short, readable format for human review.

# Weekly Social Media Report

## What it does
Compiles an accountability report showing how much was posted, how much engagement was generated, and how each platform grew, compared against the prior week and recent trend.

## When to use it
Use it weekly to keep visibility on a team's or client's content effort, or to justify to an agency client the work done alongside the GoHighLevel pipeline.

## Data collection
1. Define the platforms and accounts in scope.
2. Collect only real metrics available via the provided tools or exports; numbers are never invented.

## Comparison
3. Calculate week-over-week variation per platform.
4. Show the 4-week trend to spot stagnation or sustained growth.

## Findings
5. Flag the best- and worst-performing post of the week with its key metric.

## Recommendations
6. Write 2-3 adjustment recommendations based only on report data, presented as a suggestion, not an automatic action.

## GoHighLevel angle
7. If leads are captured from social into GHL, the report can include how many entered the pipeline that week, without modifying anything in the CRM.

## Safety rules
1. Every deliverable (script, email, post, ad, design) is produced as a draft first.
2. Nothing is sent, published, or paid for without explicit human approval.
3. Never invent metrics, testimonials, customer names, or data not present in the provided sources.
4. No credential, API key, or token is ever written or pasted into chat; reference environment variables instead.

For Claude Code, save it as ~/.claude/skills/social-media-accountability-report/SKILL.md. In Cursor, ChatGPT or another assistant, paste it as project instructions.
