This skill's short video goes here. What it does
Builds a GoHighLevel workflow that catches every inbound call nobody picked up and texts that person within seconds, so they do not call the next business on the list. If they reply, the thread lands in your inbox; if not, your team gets a call-back task.
When to use it
- Your business runs on phone calls (clinics, home services, law offices) and calls get missed.
- You want to recover callers who ring after hours or while you are with a client.
- Your phone number already lives inside GoHighLevel.
Steps
- Confirm the number that takes calls is in GoHighLevel and can send SMS or WhatsApp.
- Create a workflow with the call status trigger, filtered to inbound calls that were missed, busy or went to voicemail.
- Add the message: who you are, that you saw the call, and one easy question.
- Add a wait and, if there is no reply, an internal notification to call back.
- Test by calling from a phone that is not a contact and check everything arrives.
- Keep it as a draft until you approve it, then publish.

# Missed-Call Text-Back (GoHighLevel)
## Goal
No caller who gets missed is left hanging. Within seconds they receive a short text, and the team gets a call-back alert.
## Ask first
1. Business name and how the message should be signed.
2. Channel: SMS, WhatsApp or both (US SMS requires an approved A2P 10DLC registration).
3. Business hours, and whether the after-hours message is different.
4. Who gets the internal alert (GHL user, email or WhatsApp).
## Build
1. Confirm the number that receives calls lives in the GoHighLevel sub-account and the chosen channel is enabled.
2. Create a new workflow. Trigger: the call status trigger ("Call Status"), filtered to inbound direction and status no-answer, busy or voicemail. The exact name can vary by GHL version; use the call trigger that filters by status.
3. Immediate "Send SMS" (or WhatsApp) action using this shape:
- "Hi, this is {{name}} from {{business}}. I saw your call and couldn't pick up. Can I help here? What do you need?"
- Two lines max, no links in the first text, one easy question.
4. Wait 10 to 15 minutes with a "replied?" condition.
5. No reply: internal notification with name, number and call time, plus a "call back" task.
6. Replied: leave the thread in the inbox and stop the workflow (goal or exit).
7. Prevent duplicates: do not resend if the same person called several times in the last hour.
## Rules
- Save everything as a DRAFT. Do not publish the workflow until the user approves it.
- Never promise response times, prices or availability the user has not confirmed.
- Respect hours: after hours, say when they will be contacted.
- Include an opt-out line where local regulation requires it.
## Verify
- Call from a number that is not a contact, let it ring out, confirm the text arrives.
- Reply and confirm it lands in the inbox and the workflow stops.
- Hand the user: a screenshot of the workflow, the final message copy, and what still needs approval.
